Overflow editing for wedding videographers

You film the weddings. We edit the ones you don't have days for, in your style, and you deliver them under your own name.

How it works with your studio

Wedding season packs editing into the same months as filming. If you shoot every weekend, the edits wait. We work as a quiet extra editor. You send the footage, your project notes and your style references. We send back edits you review, revise and deliver to the couple yourself. We don't contact your couples, and our name doesn't appear in the film.

Matching your house style

Every studio has habits: how long the opening runs, where the vows land, which transitions are allowed, how titles look, how the grade sits. Send two or three finished films you are happy with, your title template or font, your LUT or a reference frame, and any rules you always follow. The first edit takes a little longer while we learn the style. After that it becomes routine.

What to send per wedding

  • Camera and audio files in a folder per device, with the order of the day
  • The couple's names and the names of anyone who speaks
  • Music you have licensed for this film, or the library track you picked
  • Favorite moments and anything the couple asked to leave out
  • Which edits are owed: highlight, ceremony, toasts, teaser
  • Your delivery specs: resolution, frame rate, file naming

Project files

Tell us which editing software and version you use. If you want the project file back so you can make the last changes yourself, say so in the brief and we'll confirm we can open and return it in that version before quoting.

Scope and quotes

Every wedding is quoted on its own, from the footage and the list of edits. If you send weddings through the season, we can agree a standing scope for each type of edit so quotes come back faster. Turnaround is set in each quote, not promised in advance.

Questions

Will you sign an NDA or a white-label agreement?

Yes. Send yours, or ask for ours. Footage and couples' details are used only for the edit.

Can you take just the ceremony and toasts?

Yes. Many videographers keep the highlight film for themselves and send out the longer documentary edits.
